Boxee made new UK announcements

Boxee Box has made quite a name for itself in the set top box and streaming content market. While it may not have offered much content early on Boxee has been able to land some great deals with content partners. For instant, recent support for Netfix streaming, vudu purchases and more has been quite good to see. And now the company’s been getting better and better all around the world.

Boxee this week has announced some pretty good updates for our friends across the UK. To begin with, from past seven days the BBC iPlayer has been introduced with a new look and that gives access to BBC programs.

Some more, BlinkBox- Boxee has partnered with one of the UK’s largest online movies and TV websites to offer their content on the Boxee Box. And not to the surprise but Boxee also have created their very own iPad application though isn’t available yet in the market, Boxee explains it as:

The goal was to create something that stood on its own to bring Boxee to the iPad – videos your friends have shared, featured items, your watch later queue, as well as video files from your local network (using the new Boxee Media Server).  Of course if you’ve got a Boxee Box as well, you’ll be able to use the iPad app as a way to send stuff to your TV.

So doesn’t actually matter which areas of the world you belong to, because Boxee has got all things to look forward to!
